About
The purpose—the Mission—of the Foundation is to serve veterans of our military by providing specialized therapeutic services designed to alleviate emotional distress, foster emotional healing, and enhance individual and family life quality. Federal government agencies and rehabilitation hospitals are overwhelmed by veterans returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters of war and, unfortunately, simply cannot meet the growing need.
Beliefs
The DreamPeace Mission is based upon five important beliefs:
- We believe DreamPeace has a social contract ensuring that our clients receive the best treatment possible for emotional distress sustained in their service to our Country; that each of our clients have the right to enjoy the highest quality of life possible.
- Emotional distress resulting from combat trauma is eminently treatable.
- All client communications are confidential and will not be released to any individual or organization without the client’s consent. Assessment and treatment information, whether written or verbal, will only be communicated to a client’s clinician under terms of professional confidentiality.
- We offer specialized therapeutic services to military personnel regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or socioeconomic status.
- On Advocacy. By our actions and behavior, we believe that we would rather put our monies into therapeutic efforts rather engage in legislative advocacy. Through our outreach efforts, we will find returning combat veterans and they will find DreamPeace…
